Cofetel, Mexico’s telecom regulator has approved the use of 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz frequency bands.  These bands are used for services like VoIP and HD video, which means they can be an alternative for fiber optic networks.

Everyday people can use these bands for communication purposes, while operators will be able to use the bands for their networks.

These bands have low probability of interference when being used by many people.
