COLOMBIA - CRT Terminal Equipment Regulatory Compliance
Circular 060 of 2007 is the latest document that lists the various testing laboratories around the world which CRT recognizes. CRT doesn't accept foreign approval certificates, but instead just the test reports that were issued by one of the recognized labs.
As per Resolution 087 of 1997, modified by CRT Resolution 1672 of 2006, establishes the general conditions of homologation of terminal equipments and certificates of conformity.
Equipments subject to the approval process include:
-
Desk & Wall terminals (telephones)
-
PCS terminals (cellular phones)
-
Global satellite system handsets (sat-phones)
For approval of telephone/terminal equipment, you must physically be present in Colombia to pay the required fees to the agency CRT. LARCG can do this for you.
Contact LARCG for more detailed information on the regulations and processes for Colombia.
