Type N Plug

There are two types on Type N plug. One is rated at 10 amps and the other is rated at 20 amps. The 10 amp version has two round pins that are 4 millimeters thick and a grounding pin.

The 20 amp version is used for heavy appliances and has two round pins 4.8 millimeters in diameter plus a ground pin. The Type N socket is designed to work with Type C plugs.
Brazil is one of the few countries that uses two types of voltage. Most states use 127 V but some use 220 V. Use of the wrong voltage can destroy the appliance being used.
